Norwegian-Nigerian striker returns to Chelsea after suffering injury at loan club
Published: October 12, 2022Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Norway youth international of Nigerian descent Bryan Fiabema is back at Chelsea after suffering an injury at his loan club Forest Green Rovers.
The promising striker was not in the Forest Green Rovers matchday squad as they were thrashed 4-1 by Peterborough United in a League One clash staged at the Weston Homes Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Fiabema was also missing from the squad as Forest Green Rovers defeated Bolton Wanderers 1-0 last weekend.
It is understood that the Norwegian-Nigerian suffered a knee injury while training with Forest Green Rovers and has returned to Cobham for further treatment.
Following his loan move from Chelsea on transfer deadline day last month, the 19-year-old was given minutes in all the matches contested by Rovers prior to his spell on the sidelines, starting four games and was a substitute on three occasions.
Fiabema decided to cancel his loan at Norwegian powerhouse Rosenborg BK before heading to Forest Green Rovers for the remainder of the 2022-2023 campaign.
