Nigeria U17 squad announcement : 21 players make Flamingos final cut for World Cup

Nigeria's U-17 women's national team head coach Bankole Olowookere on Friday named his squad for the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India reports All Nigeria Soccer.
The team is expected to jet out next week to Turkey for a training camp before arriving India.
The India High Commissioner to Nigeria His Excellency Gangaharan Balasubramanian hosted the team on Thursday to a dinner and charged the team to produce the next Asisat Oshoala and Francisca Ordega.
The 21-player team is captained by striker Alvine Dah-Zossu and top scorer during the qualifiers, Opeyemi Ajakaye.
The Flamingos will play in Group B and will face Germany, Chile and New Zealand.
The tournament was called off in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic that disrupted sporting events.
Since the competition was launched in New Zealand 14 years ago, Nigeria has only once been absent at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup – the 2018 finals staged in Uruguay.
