Revealed : Stoke City old boy Etebo demanded N1.3b net per season to join Olympiakos

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Greek Super League powerhouse Olympiakos pulled out of a deal to sign Stoke City old boy Oghenekaro Etebo in the summer transfer window due to his wage demands.
The Nigeria international completed a deadline day transfer to modest Greek club Aris Thessaloniki on September 15, ending a four-year association with the Potters in the process.
Although Etebo fancied a move to Olympiakos, the stumbling block to a deal was his wages, with the midfielder demanding a minimum of three million euros (N1.3 billion in Nigerian currency) net per season to join the current Greek champions.
Olympiakos complained that the wages being demanded by Etebo was on the high side, arguing that he didn't play a lot of games during his loan spell with Watford last season.
The 26-year-old will be coached at Aris by former West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Southampton manager, Alan Pardew, who gave the green light to the club's pursuit of the Super Eagles star.
Etebo is expected to resume training with his new teammates at Aris after the international break, subject to the issuance of a visa.
