Southampton and Man City reach club-to-club agreement for transfer of Anglo-Nigerian winger
Published: August 31, 2022Southampton are set to sign talented Anglo-Nigerian winger Samuel Edozie from Manchester City.
According to transfer market guru, Fabrizio Romano, Southampton and Manchester City have reached a club-to-club agreement for the transfer of the England U19 international of Nigerian descent.
Edozie was reportedly close to joining German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen earlier in the summer, but The Saints have seemingly won the race for his signature.

The 19-year-old will join the likes of Gavin Bazunu and Romeo Lavia, who were his teammates in the Manchester City youth squad.
Millwall FC are expected to receive a percentage of the transfer fee that takes the Nigeria eligible forward to the St. Mary's Stadium.
Edozie joined Manchester City from Millwall in 2019, with the Citizens beating off competiton from a plethora of Premier League clubs including Chelsea to land his services.
Pep Guardiola handed him his first team debut in 2021, leading City's attack alongside Riyad Mahrez and Ferran Torres in the 2021/2022 FA Community Shield.
Edozie, who was born in England, is eligible to play for either the Three Lions or the Super Eagles at international level.
