Leicester's Super Eagles star poised to make 13th career appearance against Chelsea
Published: August 25, 2022Leicester City are hard pressed to secure their first Premier League win of the season on Saturday afternoon when they visit Stamford Bridge for their fourth game of the new campaign.
The Foxes have lost twice and drawn one of their matches in August with the club also having not delved into the transfer market to sign new players.
One of the mainstays of the team since he joined from Belgian side Racing Genk in January 2017, Ndidi barring an injury in Friday's final workout is poised to start in midfield in what would be his thirteenth career appearance against Chelsea.
In twelve previous meetings against the London giants, The Nath Boys product has won three games, drawn three and lost six.
This season, Ndidi has played in Leicester City's three games so far in the Premier League and went the distance in all of them (totaling 270 minutes).
The Twitter page of Leicester on Thursday posted pictures of the Super Eagles Star in training and captioned them: 'Wilf putting in the hard work'.

Ndidi's compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho has been in action for 34 minutes in total so far this season from two games. The former Manchester City striker was also involved in Thursday's session at LCFC Training Ground.
Defender Wesley Fofana is unlikely to be involved against Chelsea as Saturday's hosts remain hopeful of a deal.
