He talks about his footballing heroes, the pressure of having a big transfer fee and facing his former side Liverpool.
Asked who his football idols were while growing up, the 25-year-old said:
"For me Didier Drogba and Thierry Henry"
He was further asked to explain the motive behind choosing these football legends as his idols.
"Because, for Henry he scored a lot of goals for Arsenal. Didier Drogba is one of the best African strikers in the world."
Thierry Henry appeared in 376 games, scored 228 times and assisted 103 goals for the Gunners.
Didier Drogba on the other hand turned out for Chelsea during his stay in England, making 381 appearances, scored 164 times and assisted 86 goals.
Moving on, the Ilorin-born attacker was asked to reveal the team he's looking forward to facing in the English Premier League this season.
"For me to be honest, I'll say Liverpool because I've been there before. I know some of the players there. I'd be very excited to play against them."
Taiwo went on to say that while at Liverpool, he had a close relationship with Senegalese, Sadio Mane.
"Players I'd say, but he left already. I'll say Sadio Mane, the rest is just not so close because I didn't get the opportunity to play in the first team quite a lot of times".
Awoniyi has one goal in three Premier League appearances for Nottingham Forest this season.
