Nottingham Forest linked with move for another Super Eagles winger
Published: August 12, 2022Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest are being linked with a move for another Super Eagles winger.
The Reds have been credited with an interest in Watford star Emmanuel Dennis and it is now claimed that Steve Cooper's side are heavily courting his international teammate Moses Simon.
French transfer market website Foot Mercato says Nottingham Forest are in talks with Nantes over the signing of Simon.
Earlier in the transfer window, Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice made an offer of ten million euros to sign the Nigeria international but the bid was deemed insufficient by the Canaries.
Two time European champions Nottingham Forest made Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi the club's record acquisition this summer, bringing him from Union Berlin for a fee in the region of 20 million euros.
Simon initially joined Nantes on loan for the 2019-2020 season before the transfer was made permanent the following season and his current contract with the French Cup winners runs out in June 2024.
The former AS Trencin, KAA Gent and Levante man has registered 21 goals and 22 assists in 102 appearances for Nantes.
