Crystal Palace boss Vieira makes transfer decision on two Nigerian young stars
Published: July 24, 2022Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has reportedly made a transfer decision on two Nigerian youngsters Malcolm Ebiowei and David Ozoh.
The Sun UK believe Vieira has blocked 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Ebiowei from being loaned out on the back of his impressive performances during pre-season preparations.
When Palace signed the former Arsenal and Chelsea schoolboy from Derby County this summer, it was thought he was going to be loaned out to continue his development bearing in mind he has no Premier League experience and is still developing physically at 18 years.
However, Ebiowei held his own against Premier League stars in the ranks of Manchester United and Liverpool during Crystal Palace's Asia tour, so a loan move has been shelved.
As for Ozoh, who was included in the tour squad due to the unavailability of several first team stars who were either unfit or had Covid-19 vaccination issues, the central midfielder has been earmarked for his first loan spell since joining Crystal Palace.
Per the report, the 17-year-old Ozoh is attracting interest from Football League clubs including Charlton Athletic.
Born in Valencia, the midfielder who models his game after Patrick Vieira, participated in the friendlies with Manchester United and Liverpool, and gave a good account of himself.
