Three-time English first-tier champions emerge as frontrunners to sign Chelsea starlet Anjorin
Published: July 22, 2022Three-time English first tier champions Huddersfield Town have emerged as frontrunners to sign Chelsea midfielder Faustino Anjorin in the summer transfer window, according to various reports in the English press.
The Guardian Football reporter Jacob Steinberg has informed that Huddersfield Town are set to sign the England U20 international of Nigerian descent on loan from Chelsea.
It has been suggested that Anjorin chose a move to the Terriers over his other suitors in England because he has a good relationship with new Huddersfield Town boss Danny Schofield.

The 20-year-old is returning to Huddersfield Town for a second loan spell, having spent the second half of last season at the club, making eight appearances in all competitions and scoring one goal.
The Chelsea academy product was a non-playing substitute as Huddersfield failed to secure promotion to the Premier League, losing 1-0 to Nottingham Forest at Wembley.
Anjorin traveled with Chelsea's first team to the United States but was sent to the development squad to continue his pre-season preparations - an indication that he's not in the plans of manager Thomas Tuchel at least for the first half of the season.
He has made five career appearances for Chelsea's first team including debuts in the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and UEFA Champions League.
