Confirmed : Chelsea loan out 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee
Published: July 07, 2022Through a statement on their official website, Chelsea have informed that 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Prince Adegoke has been loaned out to National League South side Welling United.
The goalkeeper is embarking on loan for the first time since his arrival at Chelsea at U13 level.
Adegoke will be aiming to get his first taste of senior football at the English sixth tier club based in South East London.
Last season, the 18-year-old was the goalkeeper with the most appearances for Chelsea U18s, featuring in the U18 Premier League and U18 Premier League Cup.
For the development squad, he was a non-playing substitute in Premier League 2, UEFA Youth League and Papa John's Trophy matches.
Adegoke was called up to train with the Golden Eaglets ahead of their trip to Brazil for the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup but could not travel to Abuja because of educational and club commitments.
Welling United's next pre-season game is against Beckenham Town FC on Saturday, July 9.
