Preston North End join Coventry City, MK Dons in race for promising Irish-Nigerian left-back
Published: July 03, 2022Preston North End are the latest Football League club linked with a loan move for Republic of Ireland U21 international of Nigerian descent Tayo Adaramola.
According to The Sun's Alan Nixon via Deepdale Digest, Preston are keen on the Crystal Palace left-back.
Adaramola was previously linked with loan moves to Championship outfit Coventry City and League One side MK Dons.
Preston North End are in the market for a left wingback and a move for Spaniard Xavi Quintilla fell through due to issues over a work permit for the Villarreal man.
Experienced Republic of Ireland international Robbie Brady has been training with The Lilywhites with a view to a possible move.
Adaramola has played nonstop at Crystal Palace since 2015, rising through the youth team ranks before he was handed his professional debut by manager Patrick Vieira in an Emirates FA Cup clash with Hartlepool United in February 2022.
A loan move would make sense for the 18-year-old as is behind Tyrick Mitchell in the pecking order of left-backs at Crystal Palace, while Joel Ward, Nathaniel Clyne and Nathan Ferguson can play in that position if the need arises.
