Nottingham Forest on brink of deal for Ligue 1 star amid 'link with' Chelsea-reared Nigeria RB
Published: July 02, 2022Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest are on the brink of confirming the capture of French Ligue 1 star Giulian Biancone, according to Sky Sports.
The imminent transfer of Troyes defender Biancone to Nottingham Forest could put an end to speculation linking Chelsea-reared Nigeria right-back Ola Aina with a move to the Reds as they both play similar positions.
Predominantly a right-back, Biancone can also be deployed at left-back, right wingback, left wingback and central defender just as Aina.
The Frenchman is expected to undergo a medical on Saturday before linking up with his new teammates including Taiwo Awoniyi for the pre-season tour in Spain tomorrow.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Aina is open to leaving Torino in the summer transfer window with the Premier League his preferred destination but there's nothing concrete as of now.

Torino are looking to cash in on Aina before the window closes, with his contract set to run out at the end of the forthcoming season.
The 25-year-old has Premier League experience, playing 34 games combined for Fulham and boyhood club Chelsea.
