U17 WAFU B : Five takeaways from Nigeria's 3-1 win over Togo

The Nigeria U-17 national team, the Golden Eaglets defeated Togo 3-1 on Tuesday evening to qualify for the semifinals of the WAFU U-17 Tournament in Cape Coast.

Eaglets Rhythm
The Golden Eaglets are playing their second game of the tournament and it showed in their game as they had good understanding in their game.
Pressure Of The Eaglets
When not in possession of the ball, the Golden Eaglets harried the opposition and it put the opponents under pressure which forced a, lot of errors by the Francophone side.
Great Free kick by the Togo side
Togo got a consolation goal via a brilliant free kick through right back Komi Ahouankpo in the 75th minute.
The tournament has produced great strikes by the young dead ball specialists and Nigerian teams must have experts from such skillset.
Eaglets Discipline
The Golden Eaglets committed 33 fouls in the game while Togo had 19 fouls in the referee's book.
Nduka Ugbade's boys must be wary of their defensive frailties and not concede unnecessary fouls.
Playmaker Ebube Okere who found Precious Williams for the second goal was taken off because he had been booked and his substitution affected the creativity in the midfield.
Improved Togo
The Togolese side improved their overall performance in the second half which made the Eaglets drop deep and relied on counter attacks to repel them.
