Transfermarkt updated the market values of footballers in the Italian Serie A on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
Victor Osimhen has recorded his highest ever market value, with the German-based website valuing him at 65 million euros (approximately N28.9 billion in Nigerian currency), five million euros more than his previous high of 60 million euros he first recorded on October 14, 2021.
The Super Eagles striker joined Napoli in exchange for 70 million euros, excluding performance-related add-ons.
Osimhen's market value has increased after a banner season that saw his score 18 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions.
He is the fourth most valuable 1998-born player, behind PSG's Kylian Mbappe (€160m), Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold (€80m) and Real Madrid's Federico Valverde (€70m).
The Ultimate Strikers product is now the outright most valuable Nigerian player, overtaking Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi whose valuation remains €60m.
Only Dušan Vlahović, Lautaro Martínez, Matthijs de Ligt, Rafael Leão, Sergej Milinković-Savić and Nicolò Barella are more valuable than Osimhen in the Italian Serie A.
