Allnigeriasoccer.com can report with certainty that FC Copenhagen winger Akinkunmi Amoo will link up with the national team in Abuja on Tuesday night.
The former Golden Eaglets star was due to report for international duty on Monday but missed his flight so it had to be rescheduled for the following day.
It is confirmed that the plane bringing Amoo to Abuja was in Republic of the Niger this evening and the ex-Hammarby teenage sensation communicated with some of his close pals and alerted them of his whereabouts.
If Amoo features against the Black Stars this international window, he will become the second player in the Golden Eaglets class of 2019 to debut for the Super Eagles after Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Samson Tijani.
The 19-year-old, who is an attacking midfielder and winger like Alex Iwobi, has benefited
from the absence of the 55-cap Nigeria international, with the Sidos FC
product receiving his first invite to the senior national team.
Amoo sealed a move to FC Copenhagen in the winter transfer market and scored on his full debut for the Scandinavian giants this past weekend.
Meanwhile, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen joined the team on Tuesday, leaving Umar Sadiq and Ademola Lookman as the other players still being expected.
