'It's very clear' - Barcelona captain insists Osimhen was offside in the build-up to Napoli goal
Barcelona captain Gerard Piqué has insisted that Napoli's opening goal in the Europa League first leg meeting on Thursday night should not have stood because Victor Osimhen was offside in the build-up.

In the 29th minute, Piotr  Zielinski slammed in the rebound after goalkeeper Ter Stegen saved his initial effort, moments after Barcelona missed a chance to take the lead.

Piqué noted that Osimhen was offside in the first phase of play when the counter attack was launched by Napoli.

However, the goal was given after a VAR review with the Nigeria international deemed not to be interfering with play.

"It is very clear. The offside rule is a bit like that of the hand inside the area, confusing. The referee should have whistled offside," Pique told Movistar+ post-match.

Osimhen was caught offside the most during the contest, three times over the course of 80 minutes he was on parade at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona earned a draw thanks to Ferran Torres who leveled from the penalty spot in the 59th minute after Juan Jesus was penalized for a handball.
