2019 Flying Eagles invitee makes Football League debut after deadline day move to Accrington Stanley
Published: February 08, 2022
2019 Flying Eagles invitee Korede Adedoyin has finally made his Football League debut and it came in the colours of Accrington Stanley.
The Everton academy product joined The Reds from League one rivals Sheffield Wednesday on transfer deadline day.
Against Rotherham United at the AESSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday, the Anglo-Nigerian striker entered the fray in the 53rd minute as a replacement for Lewis Mansell.
Adedoyin found first team opportunities limited at Sheffield Wednesday and the lack of game time contributed to his decision to end his association with the Owls.
His first senior game in English football was against Newcastle United U23s in this season's Papa John's Trophy and he made two further appearances in the competition, scoring against Harrogate Town.
The 21-year-old was on the books of Manchester United for three years before joining Everton, where he spent ten years.
