2017 Super Eagles invitee named in Turkish Super Lig Team of the Week

2017 Super Eagles invitee Anthony Nwakaeme has been named to the Turkish Super Lig Team of the Week by Whoscored.com following his standout performance that saw Trabzonspor fight back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw versus Istanbul giants Galatasaray on Sunday evening.
When Nwakaeme netted the equaliser in the 62nd minute, it meant the winger had scored in four successive games in the Turkish top-flight so far this season.
The 32-year-old was named as the starting left midfielder to the Turkish Super Lig Team of the Week for matchday four.
With a rating of 8.45, Nwakaeme was named Man of the Match after the meeting between Trabzonpsor and Galatasaray, the 17th time he has won the accolade since switching to the Black Sea Storm in the summer of 2018.
In ninety minutes of action, the winger played three shots with two on target, made two key passes touched the ball 73 times and completed a game-high seven dribbles.
The future of Nwakaeme dominated the back pages in Turkey this summer as he entered the last one year of his contract at Trabzonspor.
He and Trabzonspor will face Kasimpasa in their next league game on Saturday, September 18.
