Ex-Nigeria U17 invitee hoping to bounce back after injury-plagued season at Stoke City

Former Golden Eaglets invitee Iffy Udanoh is hoping to bounce back after an injury-plagued season at Championship outfit Stoke City, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Potters saw off competition from the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa to sign the 2003-born center back on scholarship terms last summer.
When he put pen to paper with the club, Udanoh could not have envisaged that he would not make his competitive debut for Stoke City U18s at season's end
The promising teenager was not included in any matchday squad after suffering a relapse to his meniscus surgery, the same ailment that almost saw his move to Stoke City fall through even before he kicked a ball.
He had a proper operation just before Christmas and his rehabilitation has gone according to plan.
Udanoh has fully recovered from the injury and has received the medical green light to resume pre-season training with his academy teammates in June.
He trained with the Golden Eaglets class of 2019 in Abuja before their trip to Brazil for the 2019 U17 World Cup.
