Ex-Sheffield Utd star agrees with Iheanacho's dad about striker staying put at Leicester City
Published: May 06, 2021Former Sheffield United and Leicester City attacker Brian Deane has urged Kelechi Iheanacho to stay put at the King Power Stadium amid speculation linking the Nigeria international with other Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window.
Deane is on the same page as Kelechi's dad, James Iheanacho, who has advised his son to shun interest from elsewhere as he is doing well at Leicester City at the moment and signed a new contract less than two months ago.
According to 'sensational reports' from the Spanish press, the former Manchester City wonderkid is drawing interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Iheanacho admitted that he has an excellent relationship with Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers and hopes to develop further under the Northern Irishman.
Speaking to Football Fancast, Dean said : "I think he's better off developing under Brendan Rodgers. I think it’s carnage at Arsenal".
Current Premier League Player of the Month, Iheanacho has tallied seventeen goals and set up six others in 34 appearances across all competitions for Leicester City in 2020-2021.
