The reason ex-QPR winger Osayi-Samuel was omitted from Fenerbahce squad vs Kasimpasa
Published: April 25, 2021
Former Queens Park Rangers star Bright Osayi-Samuel was omitted from the Fenerbahce squad in their 3-2 win against Kasimpasa at the Ulker Stadyumu Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Spor Kompleksi on Sunday evening.
According to Turkish sports daily Fanatik, the Nigerian-born winger was removed from the squad after picking up an injury in the final training session ahead of the matchday 37 fixture.
Osayi-Samuel arrived the Yellow Canaries in the winter transfer market, signing a four-and-a-half-year deal until the end of the 2024-2025 campaign.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a far from ideal start to his Fenerbahce career in terms of his goal contributions, a goal and an assist to his name after fourteen games.
And he has seemingly lost his spot in the starting lineup, making only one start in his last three league appearances, having started the previous nine.
Following their win, Fenerbahce are three points behind league leaders Besiktas.
