Leicester City ready to swoop for Nigerian winger if Fulham go down
Published: April 11, 2021Leicester City are ready to make a move for Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman in the summer if Fulham are relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, according to reports.
The print edition of the Sunday Mirror claims that the Foxes would be interested in offering Lookman the chance to remain in the Premier League.
German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig loaned out the 2017 U20 World Cup winner to the Cottagers for the entirety of the season.
Lookman has been Fulham's standout player in what has been a dismal season for Scott Parker's side, scoring four goals and setting up four others in 28 Premier League games.
The Super Eagles hopeful wants to remain in England next season as he is aware he is not in the plans of RB Leipzig.
His contract with RB Leipzg, whom he joined on a permanent basis from Everton in July 2019, runs out in June 2024.
Lookman was not in the Fulham team beaten by Wolverhampton Wanderers two days ago due to fitness issues.
