Sky Sport Italia pundit Alessandro Bonan has heaped praise on Victor Osimhen for his all-round contribution during Napoli's 2-0 win over Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday afternoon.
The former Lille striker did well in the beginning of the season but had struggled for form when he came back from injury and returned to action after contracting coronavirus.
Now Osimhen is nearing his best form with a goal contribution of four (3 goals and 1 assist) in his last six matches in the Serie A.
Against Sampdoria, the Nigeria and Napoli number 9 sealed the win when he outpaced his marker and fired an unstoppable shot past goalkeeper Emil Audero in the 87th minute.
"Osimhen is the star of this day, but he is the same failure in this championship due to the problems he had," Bonan said on Sky Sport Italia Calcio Show.
"You can see immediately, he is a special player."
With his goal against Sampdoria, Osimhen has registered five goals in sixteen appearances in the Italian top-flight.
