Super Eagles fullback Sanusi rated Porto's joint-worst player in loss to Chelsea
Published: April 08, 2021
Super Eagles fullback Zaidu Sanusi was rated the joint-worst player in the Porto side that lost 2-0 to Chelsea in a Champions League quarterfinal clash on Wednesday night.
Mason Mount rifled home to break the deadlock in the 32nd minute before Ben Chilwell netted a crucial second goal with five minutes remaining.
For the opening goal, the Chelsea midfielder made Sanusi to look like a schoolboy with his clever turn and backheel that fooled the Nigeria international.
The left-back was given a 4 out of 10 by Portuguese sports daily A Bola, who highlighted that he could have done better to prevent the goal scored by Mount.
Joining Sanusi in the Flops of the Match are goalkeeper MarchesÃn, who was partly at fault for the first goal as he opted to stretch out his leg rather than stopping the ball with his hands, and Corona.
The summer signing from Santa Clara has started all the matches contested by the Portuguese champions in their season's Champions League.
