Super Eagles fullback Aina spotted training with Fulham pre-Aston Villa
Published: April 01, 2021
Ola Aina is seemingly in contention to add to his Premier League appearances when Fulham take on Aston Villa, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Torino loanee was not involved in the Super Eagles 3-0 rout of Lesotho two days ago amid speculation that he was carrying an injury that he picked up against the Republic of Benin last weekend.
Fulham have uploaded a video via Twitter of Thursday's workout and Aina was part of the session, which has erased doubts about his fitness.
The Chelsea Academy product returned to the United Kingdom on Wednesday alongside other British-based Super Eagles players - namely Joe Aribo, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi and Alex Iwobi.
Scott Parker's team are preparing for their Premier League fixture away at Aston Villa on Sunday, April 4.
Prior to the international break, Aina and his teammates failed to capitalize on Newcastle United's poor form and are still in the relegation zone with 26 points from 30 matches.
Fulham hold an option to sign Aina permanently in the summer and it could be activated if they beat the drop.
