Super Eagles striker Iheanacho has four goals nominated for Leicester Goal of the Month
Published: April 01, 2021
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been quadruple nominated for Leicester City's Goal of the Month prize for March 2021, informs the official website of the Foxes.
The in-form attacker tallied seven goals in total in domestic matches last month, including a first-ever Premier League hat-trick in Leicester City's 5-0 rout of Sheffield United.
Iheanacho's efforts against Burnley, Brighton & Hove, plus two of his strikes against The Blades have made the ten-goal shortlist.
The Nigeria international faces competition from Leicester City's first team stars Ayoze Pérez and Youri Tielemans, LCFC Women trio Shannon O'Brien, Esmee De Graaf and Sam Tierney, and development squad player Kasey McAteer.
Against Burnley on March 3, Iheanacho volleyed the ball first time into the net after a brilliant chip over the top by Wilfred Ndidi.
The 34th minute strike is believed to be the runaway favourite to win the Foxes Goal of the Month award, considering the fact that it has also been shortlisted for the Premier League Goal of the Month.
