Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Glasgow Rangers maestro Joe Aribo could miss his first game in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers when Nigeria take on Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The versatile midfielder is down with a stomach bug and things were not looking good following the latest assessment on his fitness by the Super Eagles medical team on Tuesday morning.
Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr will now make a late call on whether to include Aribo in that matchday squad to face Lesotho.
Things will become clearer in the next two hours or so after the German football tactician would have finished his final team talk, scheduled to begin at 1215 hours, with the players before they head to the stadium.
Based on their schedule for today, the Super Eagles, who have already had their breakfast, will hold a team walk at 1145 hours; lunch is at 1245 hours and they will start getting ready to depart for the stadium by 1445 hours.
Nigeria clinched top spot in Group L of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with a game to spare following their last-gasp win against the Republic of Benin last Saturday.
