Iwobi back in the frame to face Lesotho as Everton star tests negative for COVID-19

Alex Iwobi is back in the frame to be named in the matchday 23 for Tuesday evening's 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported on Monday that the former Arsenal winger was still with the Super Eagles at their Eko Hotels & Suites camp in Victoria Island amid viral reports that he quit the Nigeria camp after a positive coronavirus test.
The Nigeria Football Federation have officially confirmed that Iwobi has tested negative after further COVID-19 tests were conducted upon the team's arrival from the Republic of Benin.
The Nigerian Federation sought a second medical opinion as they were not convinced about the authenticity of the test result from the Republic of Benin medics.
Iwobi was initially named in the starting lineup to face the Squirrels, only for him to be withdrawn from the squad altogether following the 'positive test result'.
Manager Gernot Rohr hinted after the team's final workout on Monday that Iwobi is likely to be involved in some capacity against Lesotho, provided he's negative.
The 24-year-old has started four matches in 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying, scoring three goals.
