Lorient's Moffi Scores Injury-time Winner Despite Neymar's Brace For Paris Saint-Germain
Published: January 31, 2021Former Golden Eaglets invitee Terem Moffi netted an injury-time winner as Lorient defeated French champions Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 at Stade Yves Allainmat - Le Moustoir on Sunday afternoon.
The 21-year-old has hit the ground running since his big money move to Lorient from Belgian side KV Kortrijk in the summer transfer window and is one of the most in-form players in Ligue 1.
Abergel gave Lorient the lead on 36 minutes but two penalty kicks converted by Brazil super star Neymar saw PSG go in front, before Wissa restored parity in the 80th minute.
A minute into stoppage time, Moffi netted the game-winning goal, beating PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico at the near post, assisted by Abergel.
He has now scored in each of his last five games in the French top-flight, starting from his goal vs OGC Nice followed by strikes against Monaco, Bordeaux, Dijon and PSG.
Moffi has made 15 appearances so far this season for Lorient - starting ten matches.
