Bayern Munich, Everton Discussing Loan Deal For Zirkzee With Compulsory Purchase Clause
Published: January 19, 2021Talks between Bayern Munich and Everton about the possible transfer of Dutch-Nigerian striker Joshua Zirkzee in the January transfer window are still ongoing.
According to Sky Sport Deutschland, the Toffees want to sign the Netherlands U21 international on loan for the remainder of the 2020-2021 season but Bayern Munich want a loan deal with a compulsory purchase clause set at ten million euros included in any deal.
It is claimed that financially it won't be an easy transaction for Everton to pull off at this stage of the season.
Zirkzee has been unable to break into the starting lineup of the European champions this season, made difficult with the signing of Cameroon star Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, so he is keen to move on to pastures new.
The 19-year-old has made five appearances for the Bavarians in all competitions, logging 102 minutes.
Italian Serie A club Parma are also in the race to sign the promising striker who is on the radar of Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr.
