In a Group D clash at Johan Cruijff Arena, three goals in the space of twenty minutes gave Ajax Amsterdam a comfortable 3-1 win against Danish champions FC Midtjylland.
Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka logged ninety minutes for the visitors in his fourth consecutive start in the competition.
Gravenberch, Mazraoui and David Neres struck for the hosts before Mabil pulled a goal back from the spot ten minutes from time.
Bayern Munich beat Salzburg 3-1 in a Group A clash at Allianz Arena (München), with Lewandowski, Coman and Leroy Sane getting on the scoresheet for the current champions while Berisha reduced the deficit.
Jamal Musiala and Joshua Zirkzee made Bayern's matchday squad but didn't enter the game while Karim Adeyemi played the last nineteen minutes for the Austrians.
