Victor Osimhen's Agent Reveals Napoli Striker Was Very Angry After Defeat To Sassuolo
Published: November 03, 2020Victor Osimhen's agent, Andrea D'Amico has revealed that the Napoli striker was very angry in the wake of the 2-0 loss to Sassuolo in the Italian Serie A on Sunday, November 1.
With the score level at 0-0, the Nigeria international was presented with two opportunities to break the deadlock but squandered the chances.
Assessing Osimhen's performance against Sassuolo, D'Amico told Radio Marte via ilbellodelcalcio.net : "Victor was very angry after the defeat, but knowing him I know he will respond vigorously to this setback.
"What really matters is the attitude of the team and the player himself, mistakes can be made by everyone."
With only one goal in five league games for the Blues, Osimhen has not lighted the Italian Serie A as envisaged and there are questions whether he can make it in Italy but D'Amico believes his client will eventually prove himself.
"Remember Dzeko? The first year at Roma he missed goals alone in front of the goal, then the following year he was the top scorer of the championship and today he is a key element on the pitch and in the locker room.
"Often there is too much haste in judgments, both for the players and for the teams: at the start of the season the grids are already made, after two victories in a row you are automatically in the running for the championship," he added.
Osimhen is not eligible to be fielded when Napoli take on Rijeka in the Europa League on Thursday following his dismissal in the closing minutes at Real Sociedad last week.
