'I Can Help Victor' - Napoli Match-winner Vs Benevento Wants To Play With Osimhen
Published: October 25, 2020Napoli have climbed to second in the Italian Serie A table, one point behind AC Milan, following their 2-1 victory over Benevento at Stadio Ciro Vigorito on Sunday.
Roberto Insigne opened the scoring for the home team on the half-hour mark but Napoli struck twice in seven second-half minutes to secure three points, Lorenzo Insigne with the equalising goal before Andrea Petagna scored what proved to be winning goal, his first strike for the Blues.
Nigeria international Victor Osimhen made his third consecutive start for Napoli but could not add to his tally despite going the distance.
Napoli's match-winner Petagna, who has yet to make his full debut, has made it clear that he can play alongside Osimhen in attack just as he did after coming off the bench in the 58th minute in today's clash.
The center forward was quoted as saying by Napoli's official website : "I’m listening to what the coach says. I’ve settled in really well and I’m happy to play in a range of positions across the forward line.
"I can help Victor [Osimhen] by playing him in but I can also drop deep and help the rest of the team out. I think those are my biggest strengths and I’m showing that more and more here."
Napoli's next engagement is a Europa League fixture against Real Sociedad at Reale Arena (Donostia-San Sebastián) on Thursday, October 29.
