Through a statement on their official website, Championship outfit Stoke City have confirmed the squad numbers for their summer arrivals ahead of their first competitive game of the new season.
Eleven days after joining the Potters, John Obi Mikel has been allocated the jersey No. 13, the same number he suited up with in his first season in English football at Chelsea.
The Super Eagles legend donned the same shirt number when he made his non-competitive debut for the club last Tuesday, a number which was worn by Victor Moses during his loan spell at the bet365 Stadium in the 2014-2015 season.
It can be recalled that when the 33-year-old made his professional debut for Lyn Oslo, he wore the number 20 kit for the Norwegian club.
Having worn the number 10 jersey for theGolden Eaglets at the 2003 FIFA U17 World Cup, he was allocated the number 9 at the 2005 FIFA U20 World Cup because his favorite shirt number was already taken by team captain Isaac Promise.
