Nigeria international Paul Onuachu has tested positive for coronavirus, according to various reports in the Belgian media.
Het Laatste Nieuws writes on its print edition that the Racing Genk striker has to be quarantined for a week after testing positive for COVID-19 following his return from Nigeria.
The entire Genk squad underwent tests on Tuesday ahead of their first pre-season friendly against Eendracht Termien and all the players returned a negative result with the exception of Onuachu.
However, there is concern within the club as the Nigerian has been involved in contact training with the rest of his teammates for a week.
Onuachu had been training with Genk until mid-May when he left for Nigeria and his return to Belgium late last month was not straightforward because the Nigerian airspace was closed to international flights.
In his maiden season in Belgium, the former FC Midtjylland star netted 10 goals in all competitions and featured in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
