'In Cologne I Had My Best Time In Football' - Union Berlin's Ujah Ahead Of Special Game
Published: June 09, 2020Super Eagles striker Anthony Ujah has fond memories of his time at Cologne and is planning to live in the city after ending his playing career.
Ujah spent three years at The Billy Goats, first joining the club on loan in the summer of 2012, before earning himself a permanent move the following season.
Overall, the former Warri Wolves star netted 32 goals in 102 appearances across three seasons prior to leaving Cologne.
Ujah is relishing the prospect of facing his old club on Saturday when Union Berlin visit the RheinEnergieStadion on matchday 31 in the German Bundesliga.
Speaking to Kicker, he said : "In Cologne I had my best time in football so far, the city is very important to me. I see my future there."
Ujah is satisfied with the playing opportunities he is getting at Union Berlin, though he has started only eleven matches in all competitions.
The 29-year-old first made his name at Norwegian club Lillestrom and has also turned out for Werder Bremen and Liaoning FC in China.
