Uduokhai's Future At Wolfsburg Will Be Clarified By The End Of May
Published: April 07, 2020
Felix Uduokhai's future at German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg will be clarified in the coming weeks.
The former Germany U21 international joined FC Augsburg on a season-long loan to enable him play on a regular basis but the coronavirus pandemic has thwarted the plan because the Bundesliga is suspended.
Augsburg have a say on the future of Uduokhai as there was a purchase clause set at ten million euros inserted into the deal taking him to the club, which they have to activate before the end of May, failing which, the player can return to his parent club.
Wolfsburg sports director Marcel Schäfer reckons that Augsburg are not planning to exercise their purchase option to buy the center back outright.
"As of today, I assume that Felix, Yunus Malli, Jeffrey Bruma and John Yeboah will come back to us in the summer, "
Schäfer told Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung via fussballtransfers.com.

A target of the Nigeria Football Federation and Gernot Rohr, Uduokhai has been involved in 18 Bundesliga matches for Augsburg this season and was in action for 1,306 minutes.
