Bayern Munich's Zirkzee Deadliest Striker In Bundesliga Ahead Of Haaland, Lewandowski, Werner
Published: March 08, 2020Bayern Munich's Nigeria-eligible youngster Joshua Zirkzee has been named the most effective striker in the whole of the Bundesliga by German newspaper Bild, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Though the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Timo Werner and Erling Haaland have more goals than Zirkzee, the Netherlands U19 international is more prolific than the trio.
Zirkzee has scored three goals in the Bundesliga in approximately 100 minutes of game time, that's a goal every 33 minutes.
Borussia Dortmund's Norway sensation Haaland has plundered nine goals in eight matches, logging 512 minutes, an average of 57 minutes for every goal.
The leading scorer in the Bundesliga, Lewandowski's rate is 82 minutes per goal and Werner has scored a goal every 98 minutes.
With Lewandowski on the sidelines until the end of March after suffering a fracture in his left shin vs Chelsea in the Champions League, Zirkzee has four games remaining to prove that he can act as cover for the best number 9 in the world.
