Juventus-Owned Striker Delighted To See Bukayo Saka Play For Arsenal's First Team
Published: February 08, 2020Juventus-owned striker Stephy Mavididi is delighted to see Bukayo Saka break into the Gunners first team and noted that the winger was a cut above the rest of his teammates during his formative years at Hale End.
The versatile youngster impressed on the left flank before he was deployed as a makeshift left-back since mid December following the unavailability of Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac due to injuries.
Saka is Arsenal's top assists provider in all competitions this season, setting up seven goals and has found the net three times.
"I remember when I was at Hale End, I must have been about 13 or 14 and I used to watch Bukayo [Saka] with the Under-8s,'' Mavididi, who spent eight years at Arsenal, told Goal.com.
"He used to just get the ball and run through the whole team and score. It was the same with Reiss [Nelson].
"Now they are really taking their chance and I‘m so happy for them. Arsenal has always been about producing good young talent and that’s what is happening there now."
