Arsenal's Balogun Returns From Injury In Loss To Brighton & Hove U23
Nigeria-eligible striker Folarin Balogun received the medical green light to make his first appearance for an Arsenal team since October 26 during Friday's Premier League 2 match against Brighton & Hove at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The England youth international made his return from injury as he replaced Trae Coyle in the 85th minute.

Balogun had spent more than five weeks in the treatment room after suffering an ankle injury in training before the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal U23 head coach Steve Bould was unable to include the 18-year-old in his squad list for the game against Spurs as well as matches against Southampton, Villarreal and Blackburn Rovers.

Despite Balogun's spell on the sidelines, he is still the joint-leading scorer in the Premier League 2, with seven goals from ten appearances and has provided four assists.

He trained with Arsenal's first team on Wednesday before their Europa League meeting with Standard Liege in Belgium.

Tolaji Bola, James Olayinka and Joseph Olowu were the other players of Nigerian descent that featured in yesterday's game against the Seagulls.
