Brighton, Celtic, Ajax Among Clubs Set To Run The Rule Over Two Nigeria Stars In Germany
Published: December 13, 2019
At least two Nigerians could come under the limelight in the German Bundesliga when the clash between Paderborn and Union Berlin gets underway at the Benteler-Arena on Saturday.
German newspaper Bild has reported that scouts representing German, Netherlands, English, Spanish and Scottish clubs will be in the stands to watch the two sides who parade Super Eagle Jamilu Collins (Paderborn) and Anthony Ujah (Union Berlin).
While the duo have been regulars for their team for much of this season, the third Nigerian who is on the books of Union Berlin Suleiman Abdullahi has played just three league games for the club this term and is surely ruled out of this one through injury.
Ajax Amsterdam, Brighton, Villarreal and Glasgow Celtic will reportedly have their representatives in the stands in North-Rhine Westphalia, while 'almost half a dozen' Bundesliga clubs will also be in attendance.
Collins has played 13 of his team's 14 games in the topflight, and scored a wonder goal against Bayern Munich while Ujah has 11 league games under his belt so far, scoring twice.
