Anglo-Nigerian Midfielder Cites Chelsea Coach Lampard As Footballing Role Model
Promising Chelsea midfielder Faustino Anjorin has cited Chelsea coach Frank Lampard as his footballing role model.

One of the stars of Chelsea's U23 team, the Anglo-Nigerian was handed a debut by Lampard in the 7-1 rout of Grimsby Town in the third round of the League Cup on September 25, playing the last 23 minutes after replacing Pedro.

In the latest episode of 'Out of the Blue', Anjorin was asked about his footballing role model and he replied : ''I have to say Frank Lampard, like I'm not saying that because he's over there but I'm saying that because I've been here for such a long time and being a midfielder''.

Reflecting on his first team debut, Anjorin revealed that he wanted to keep his parents in the dark but the news filtered to them even before he spoke a word.

''I didn’t tell my family at first because I wanted it to be a massive surprise but then they found out before I told them.

''It was bad. As I got home, they were like "is there something you’ve got to tell us" so they already knew but they were buzzing,'' Anjorin admitted.

Aged 17, Anjorin has been training with Chelsea since the age of 6 and signed his first professional contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit a year ago.
