Red-hot Chelsea Loanee Ugbo Scores Again For Roda JC After Receiving Delayed Salary
Published: October 05, 2019Former England U17 international of Nigerian descent Ike Ugbo was on target Friday evening for Dutch Eerste Divisie side Roda JC in a 2-1 win over Telstar in a league game.
The youngster who is on loan at the Dutch club from Chelsea scored his team's first goal in the 51st minute while Belgian Niels Verburgh grabbed the winner two minutes before full time.
The strike was the fifth of the season for Ugbo in eight league matches.
However, Ugbo received his wages this week and the attacker is likely see out his contract with the Kerkrade club.
The Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) deducted three points from Roda on Wednesday because of 'changes in the structure of the club'.
The Roda number 9 previously played on loan at Barnsley, MK Dons and Scunthorpe United.
