Saka Named In Arsenal's Provisional Squad Vs Eintracht Frankfurt; 6 Eligible Nigerians Miss Out
Published: September 18, 2019Highly-rated Nigerian teenager Bukayo Saka is in contention to make his third appearance in the UEFA Europa League when Arsenal do battle with Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, September 19.
The official website of the Gunners, arsenal.com has unveiled the traveling group to Germany, with the 18-year-old part of the 19-man provisional roster.
One player will be axed from the 19-man squad before the start of tomorrow's game at Commerzbank-Arena.
Saka made his senior debut against Vorskla in November 2018 and recorded his second appearance in the Europa League the following month against Qarabag Agdam.
The winger was spotted training with Arsenal's first teamers at London Colney today before the trip to Frankfurt.
Six other players of Nigerian descent, goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, defenders Tolaji Bola, Joseph Olowu and Tobi
Omole, midfielder James Olayinka and striker Folarin Balogun who are all eligible to feature for Arsenal in the Europa League have been not been included in the traveling squad.
