Top Three Super Eagles Players Who Must Move On To Greener Pastures Next Season
Published: April 03, 2019With the 2018/19 season coming to an end, players are already thinking about their plans for next season.
Many players are considering changing their clubs due to lack of playing time throughout this season, and some of Gernot Rohr's men fall into this category.
Some Super Eagles players failed to tie down a permanent spot in their club's starting XI throughout this term, and they must move elsewhere in the summer.
Allnigeriasoccer.com takes a look at three Super Eagles players who should be on the move beforehand start of next season.
Leon Balogun
The 30-year-old centre-back is a victim of intense competition as Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk continue to be in top form. Both players have a great understanding which has helped them maintain a solid shield at the back for Brighton & Hove Albion.
Kelechi Iheanacho
The former Manchester City youngster is enduring a very difficult spell at the King Power Stadium as he has failed to convince Brendan Rodgers of his qualities.
Iheanacho, 22, has played just 1,203 minutes of football all season and he is a back up to England international striker Jamie Vardy who is highly rated by Rodgers.
A move out the King Power Stadium this summer might the best way to start his rejuvenation process.
Brian Idowu
The left-back is no longer an integral part of Gernot Rohr's team, no thanks to his fringe role at club level.
The Russian-born defender moved from Amkar Perm to Lokomotiv Moscow prior to the start of this campaign, but has failed to feature regularly for the team. He has played just 13 games for the Russian side in all competitions.

Despite his obvious quality, Balogun regularly sits on the bench, making him one of the most inactive Super Eagles players.
He must move elsewhere in the upcoming transfer window, considering the fact that he's played just 10 games for the Seagulls.

If he must reclaim his starting berth in Rohr's team, he will need to move to a club where game time is guaranteed.
