Spezia FC of Italy striker David Okeke scored the Dream Team VII's fourth goal in the 4-0 romp over Libya.
David, let's start by knowing how you feel getting to know that you will play in Tuesday's friendly against Egypt after scoring against Libya in the U-23 Olympics qualifying match?
Before now, not many Nigerians know about you. Could you tell your new fans about your career?
In life I believe everything takes time and I want to thank the U23 team coach for the chance and invitation. My past teams are Lavagnese in Serie D, Cosenza in Seria C and Spezia in the Serie B.
Which Super Eagles striker/forward, past or present, would you say was an inspiration to you?
Odion Ighalo is a big inspiration to me. He's been there both as a youth player and Super Eagles star.
How was the mood amongst the players immediately after the 2-0 defeat against Libya?
It's normal. We all felt bad and we realized we had a lot to do and yesterday we gave it our all, and we got the ticket for the next stage.
You're fondly referred to as the 'New Pierre Emerick Aubameyang'. What aspects of the Arsenal and Gabon striker's game do you feel you can improve upon?
I think his finishing because in the box and outside the box he is very dangerous. I would love to finish, score more.
How would you describe competition in the Serie B and has representatives from bigger clubs approach you/your agent?
I don't know if any team has approached my agent or not because the league is still on and I'm concentrating on my team.
The Serie B league isn't easy league to adapt to. It's tough.
Thank you David for the time...
That impressive showing earned him a place in the Super Eagles side set to face Egypt on Tuesday evening at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.
