Two players of Nigerian descent were on target for their respective clubs in the Swiss Super League on Sunday, March 17.
Switzerland U19 star Noah Okafor netted his third goal of the season as FC Basel were held to a 2-2 draw by Young Boys at St. Jakob-Park.
The 18-year-old blasted the ball into the net from outside the box when a header fell kindly for him in the 53rd minute.
It is confirmed that Okafor is on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation with a view to an invitation to the Dream Team squad ahead of the U23 AFCON and next year's Olympic Games.
Still in the division, Nigeria international Stephen Odey helped FC Zurich to pick up their eighth win of the season by scoring in their 2-1 victory against Neuchâtel Xamax at Stadion Letzigrund.
Fourteen minutes from time, Odey netted the game-winning goal to take his tally for the season to 12 goals across all competitions.
