2013 U17 World Cup-winning manager, Manu Garba has played down the fitness of the Golden Eaglets squad less than two months before they face Tanzania in the Africa U17 Cup of Nations.
The five-time world champions are holding a get-together in Abuja before heading to Turkey, where they'll participate in an invitational tournament next month.
''So far so good, we are just into a week in training and I can say we are more than fifty percent set in aspect of techniques and tactical ability,'' Manu Garba said.
''As for physical fitness, we are still a bit behind but that not withstanding we are trying to meet everything to make sure we get to at least eighty percent level of fitness so that we can be able to give our best in the preparatory tournament in Turkey.''

The world's most successful team in U17 World Cup history qualified for the 2019 AFCON after emerging champions of the WAFU-UFOA Zone B qualifiers.
