Former Super Eagles invitee Josh Maja has been named in the latest English Football League Team of the Week revealed by the official website of the EFL on Monday, September 24.
The current EFL Young Player of the Month scored twice as Sunderland thrashed Rochdale 4-1 in League One on Saturday.
The Nigerian super kid is the leading marksman in England's third-tier, with seven goals from nine appearances.
In a 4-3-3 formation, Maja was named in attack along with Che Adams (Birmingham City) and John Marquis (Doncaster Rovers).
Explaining why he was included in the Team of the Week for match day nine, the EFL wrote : ''Maja was named EFL Young Player of the Month for August, and it seems he wants to be in with a shout for September's award too.
''The 19-year-old netted a brace on Saturday in Sunderland's 4-1 win.''
Maja previously played for the youth teams of Crystal Palace, Manchester City and Fulham before joining Sunderland in 2015.
