Official : Chelsea Announce Loan Departure Of Two International Players
Published: August 10, 2018Chelsea reported on their official website on Friday afternoon that two of their international players will be spending the new season on loan in England and Spain.
France central defender Kurt Zouma has finalized a season-long loan move to Premier League rivals Everton, while Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi is heading to Spanish side Valencia on loan.
Zouma joined Chelsea from Saint-étienne in January 2014 and has racked up 71 appearances for the first team, scoring 4 goals with 3 assists.
The 23-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at Stoke City for whom he played 34 league games.
Michy Batshuayi, who made three appearances for Belgium at this summer's World Cup, enjoyed a successful loan spell at Borussia Dortmund in the second half of last season, with 9 goals in 14 games across all competitions before injury ended his season.
Aged 24, he wore the jerseys of RFC Evere, RUSA Schaarbeek, Brussels, Anderlecht, Standard Liege and Marseille prior to his transfer to Chelsea in 2016.
